I was thinking about this on my way home yesterday...
When Adam and Eve sinned - Eve's punishment was to have painful childbirth.
I am curious....
How would childbirth been different? If it was a pain free process would childbirth have been different? I don't understand how it would not have been painful. Would the baby still have come out the same way?
I'm glad God had Mercy on us and decided to let us invent epidurals so that some of us who had ten pound babies would not have to experience the pain.
I guess my punishment was having to endure the pain carrying the ten pound baby for 9 months!

Youch!!! Ten Pounds? Was that Harrison?
Maybe before sin came the birth canal was just really, really stretchy!
Even better, maybe humans were marsupials.
Julia was 9 lbs 15 oz - one week late
Harrison was 8 lbs 10 oz - 2 weeks early
It would have to be like rubber with no sensativity!
I think I like the pouch idea better!
my new theory is that God was going to send us babies by way of storks. Since Adam and Eve were not "born" from a human....maybe we were never meant to be born from a human. Maybe God would just send you a perfect being by way of stork or I guess angels would bring them!
If we were brought by storks we wouldn't have belly buttons. You know I understand the big baby pains. And the crabby crampy pains right now, too.
We NOW have belly buttons. Who is to say that originally before sin that we didn't have belly buttons. Adam and Eve would not have had one.
